When “Heavy Rotation” was released by AKB48 back in August 2010, the song would become one of the most popular hit songs by the female idol group and possibly their most controversial music video ever made (courtesy of the members wearing lingerie and kissing each other).

Fast forward to 2014 and with the group nearing 100,000,000 views, AKB48 fans took to social media and making 100,000,000 views a reality and the numbers continue to climb as of 10:00 p.m. PST.

Congratulations AKB48 for achieving another feat. and if there is one video that will always be remembered by AKB48 fans, it would definitely be “Heavy Rotation”!
