TK Family reunite for “Bokura no Ongaku” on Fuji TV


For fans of J-Pop, many are familiar with the TK domination during the ’90s and watching the TK family which included back then of TRF, globe, Amuro Namie, hitomi, Kahala Tomomi, Mizuki Arisa, Shinohara Ryoko, Suzuki Ami to name a few.

And there have been a number of TK specials in the past.  And now, “Bokura no Ongaku” on Fuji TV will feature an episode featuring TK and his old group TM NETWORK, TRF, Kahala Tomomi, Suzuki Ami, Golden Bomber, E-Girls in this special program.

And interesting for fans is to see the reunion of the former TK couple, Komuro and Kahala for the special program.


Wasamin sings national anthem and throws out the ceremonial first pitch at Hiroshima Carp game


Iwasa “Wasamin” Misaki sung the national anthem and threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Chunichi Dragons vs. Hiroshima Toyo Carp game at Mazda Zoom-Zoom Stadium on April 11th.

Iwasa is a member of AKB48 who is known for her enka solo career.

Morning Musume NHK Special


On April 28 and the 29th, the four-hour NHK BS Premium Morning Musume 55 Special! will air on NHK.

Featuring performances of all 55 songs from Morning Musume as performed on “Pop Jam” and “Music Japan”, the special will feature interviews and behind-the-scenes with Morning Musume and producer Tsunku.

You know Babymetal have gone big if the Fine Bros. are covering it!


All over the world, people are going crazy about Babymetal!

And you know you are doing something right if the Fine Bros. does a “YouTubers React” viral video on you!

Much better reactions that the Kyary Pamyu Pamyu reaction. But great to see people not familiar with the group reacting positively or a bit of bewilderment towards Babymetal!

AKB48 Katayama Haruka to graduate


It was a few days ago when Kikuchi Ayaka announced her graduation from AKB48 and now Katayama Haruka will be graduating.

Katayama announced at the AKB48 Theater on April 14th that she wanted to pursue a career as a musical actress and that although she was unable to become a center of AKB48, she wants people to know her name.

Katayama’s graduation date has not been announced but she will participate in the Sept. 23rd handshake meeting and continue to take part in theater performances.

Katayama became a member of AKB48 back in 2007 as a member of Team B.  She recently changed to Team A.

AKB48’s Ayaka Kikuchi to graduate on the 21st

AKB48 Team A member Kikuchi Ayaka announced on Monday that she will be graduating AKB48 with her final day on the 21st.

Kikuchi announced that she wanted to focus a career in the fashion industry.


Kikuchi was a member of AKB48 Team B since 2006 but graduated from the group after a scandal in August 2008.

She was given a chance to become a member of Kenkyuusei in Dec. 2008 and eventually became a member of Team K in 2009 and moved to Team A in 2012.

Ikoma Rena’s debut as a member of AKB48 Team B


Nogizaka46 member Ikoma Rina debuted as a concurrent AKB48 Team B member on the 12th.

Ikoma told the audience that she will do her best as a member of Team B and joined the group for a performance of “Shonichi”.

Matsui Rena makes her Nogizaka46 debut


SKE48’s Matsui Rena is one of the main faces of the AKB48 sister group and now she is also a concurrent member with Nogizaka46.

Matsui debuted and performed with the Nogizaka46 during the performance of “Kitzuitara Kataomoi” at Makuhari Messe at the national handshake event.

Matsui told Nogizaka46 fans that she doesn’t know if she will appear with Nogizaka46 that much but she wants to participate in many Nogizaka46 events.

Rekochoku will also debut the Matsui Rena version of “Kitzuitara Kaotomoi” at midnight.

It was announced that Matsui will take part in performances with Nogizaka46 on May 30th.
