Magazine Spotlight: Street Jack Issue 2 (February 2016)

The Dennis A. Amith Blog wrote a detailed account on what Street Jack Magazine is all about and how the magazine covers the latest trends of ever-changing Japanese fashion.

The latest issue of “Street Jack” vol. 2 was released before Christmas and comes with a free denim New Era pouch.

With this latest issue, the trend for jackets this year and I liked how many people are sporting Chester coats with high neck (turtleneck) sweaters.  As I have a good collection of Chester Coats myself in black, gray and so wanting a camel-based coat, it was great to see this featured.

It’s also great to see the trends on sneakers and similar to my observation in Tokyo earlier in 2015, Converse Allstar was a big preference for many guys, followed by Adidas Stan Smith and Adidas Superstar’s.  For boots, no surprise as Dr. Martens was what most people were sporting, followed by Timberland.

For watches, Casio G-Shock was the watch that most people were seen wearing for the coverage of this publication, followed by Diesel Timeframes, Daniel Wellington, Paul Smith watches and Timex.

Surprisingly, was the trends of backpacks.  Last year, I reported how THE NORTH FACE was the brand that I often seen.  But this year, more people are sporting NIXON, followed by ARC’TERYX and the master-piece backpacks.

And as usual, UNIQLO and BEAMS plugs throughout the issue.

But also a lot of street snaps and breakdowns of what people were sporting on that day.  Spotlight on couples and more!

As for spotlights, actresses Sakurai Hinako and Takeda Rena are featured.  For idols, Hashimoto Nana of Nogizaka46 and the final long interview with AKB48’s Takahashi Minami.  Also, two-page spread featuring CamCam model Ikeda Elaiza.
