Messages from Perfume and the Director Taketoshi Sado

I am so happy for our Japan and U.S. simultaneous premiere! It’s amazing!!! While I wonder how our live documentary turned out, I am a little bit embarrassed, because our documentary crew recorded us very closely during our tour. I’m very glad that not only Perfume fans in Japan but also overseas can see the true Perfume in this movie. I wonder if we could walk on the real red carpet this time, because when we walked for the Cars 2 world premiere, it was a black carpet to give the image of a racetrack. For our long cherished red carpet, I want to walk carefully. Wow! I am so nervous! (laughs)

Even though I was very happy for our tour becoming a movie, I still can’t believe it will be showing in Japan and the US simultaneously. I hope that lots of people will see our movie. I never even dreamed of the day when I can walk on the red carpet of the Tokyo International Film Festival. I am very pleased for the three of us to walk with pride of having been involved in this movie. Even for a short moment, I would like to enjoy the glamorous experience of the International Film Festival!

OMG! I can’t believe it! In any case, please come to see the movie! I can’t wait~ ^ ^

Taketoshi Sado, Director:
To have my first directed movie to be invited to the Tokyo International Film Festival and be shown worldwide is a supreme honor. I think if you feel touched by the real Perfume in this movie, you will become Perfume fan for sure. So to see the real face, I would like everyone around the world to watch this movie.

This documentary follows Perfume on a two-month international live tour, “Perfume WORLD TOUR 3rd.” While travelling around the globe to cities across Asia, Europe, and the United States, audiences will see Perfume’s powerful live performances and catch never before seen behind-the-scenes footage. Witness the group’s single-minded approach to their performances – the joy, anguish, and struggles, not only in the music, but also in fashion and pop culture. By witnessing the girls’ ongoing current activities fans will glimpse Perfume’s achievements and their goals for the future. This is Perfume’s nonstop evolution. Their “now” is here.

During several insightful interviews, the members “Dame Dashi” will be revealed in which they reflect on improving for upcoming shows. The source of their passion for performing live will also be revealed. In between their tight schedules the members are depicted enjoying some leisure time – from their excitement in Singapore’s giant Merlion, to exploring New York’s Times Square, fans will witness their life-sized reactions. In addition, each member also talks about the world tour, the group’s formation, and a look back on their successful career to-date. These exclusive interviews can only be seen in the movie.

J-POP 365 (July 26, 2015)

Today I am listening to AKB48’s 40th CD single “Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai” (Type-A, B, C, D & the theater edition).

And then I had the urge to listen to SKE48’s first album “Kono Hi no Chime o Wasurenai”.

And then afterward, I started to listen to Tomatsu Haruka’s third album “Harukarisk*Land”.

And I ended the day with Perfume’s first best album “Perfume ~Complete Best~”.

cera3croni knows how to make a surgical mask look so frickin’ sexy and stylish!

Screen Shot 2013-11-03 at 8.33.51 PM

All over the world, people are uploading videos of them doing the choreography of Japanese pop trio PERFUME. And so far, the Japanese cover dance group cera3croni has not only emulated the dance moves but also the hairstyles of various members of PERFUME.

But the interesting part about cera3croni, they don’t care for people to know who they are outside of their dancing, so they sport surgical masks, not because they have a cold and don’t want to spread their germs on unsuspecting germaphobes, nor do they have jacked up teeth (which I don’t think they have) but because they want you to keep your eye on the performance.

But somehow with the orange clothing and the white surgical masks, not only do they deliver in terms of the PERFUME choreography by they make wearing surgical masks so frickin’ sexy and stylish.  Unfortunately, wearing one in the U.S. has not really caught on but maybe beautiful women with surgical masks will one day become a norm of society.  Maybe.

You can check out more of cera3croni’s music videos here.
